This is a large format NATO map showing member countries and covering the full geographic spread of the alliance across North America and Europe. All 32 member states are clearly identified, with each country’s year of joining NATO marked directly on the map – a useful reference whether you’re studying the alliance’s growth, tracking geopolitical change, or simply want a detailed political wall map that tells a story.

The map includes a concise summary of NATO’s origins, noting how the alliance was founded in 1949 by 12 countries and has grown steadily since. It also covers the most recent additions: Finland joined in April 2023 and Sweden in March 2024, following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in February 2022. NATO’s headquarters in Brussels, Belgium is also identified on the map.
